Three teams, three days in paradise…

After taking a break from the highway for a little bit and spending some time running to the north of us on Stampede trail and out the famous “bus” from “Into the Wild” fame, we returned to the Denali Highway for a three day training run this past weekend.  One word – paradise.  Temperatures were in the teens and we had some nice sunshine during the days.  Our nights were spent at Alpine Creek Lodge – which is fast becoming a home away from home!  (Thank you Claude, Jennifer & Bob!)  We didn’t perish while crossing the glaciers on 20 mile hill and all dogs and mushers made it home safe late Monday evening.

Check out our pics that we posted over at Flickr and see for yourself some of the beauty that is Alaska…

Until next time…

Happy Trails,
The HH Crew

Speak Your Mind

"I came up with my family for a 14 day Alaskan adventure and this excursion was by far my favorite! Holding the puppies and being nuzzled by the older dogs was truly magical. I hope I will be able to come back again soon. Had such a great time. Thanks so much." - E. Schilling – Wisconsin
